From local parties to high-profile events, DJ Tydal Wave has brought the energy for crowds that included Lamar Jackson, Jarobi White, and soon — Nelly!

I DJed an event for Lamar Jackson at The Horse You Came In On Saloon in Maryland, as part of a private pre-event before the main National Thoroughbred League event at Pimlico Racecourse. A Tribe Called Quest’s own Jarobi White was also there. Definitely not an everyday kind of gig — and moments like these are exactly why I do what I do.

Office Manager

Pictured with Jarobi White, founding member of the iconic hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest. It was an honor to connect with such a respected figure in music history during the same event where I DJed for Lamar Jackson.

  • Will my venue allow these effects?
It’s a good idea to check with your venue beforehand to ensure they’re comfortable with the special effects you want. Some venues may have specific guidelines or restrictions. It’s your responsibility to confirm with the venue, and once you have their approval, just let us know and we’ll take care of the rest!
  • What is Dancing on the Clouds?
Dancing on the clouds is a magical effect created using low-lying dry ice to produce a soft, fog-like mist that covers the floor, making it look as if the couple is floating on clouds. This effect is often used during the first dance at weddings, adding a romantic and ethereal atmosphere to the moment. It’s a stunning visual that enhances the magic of the occasion and creates an unforgettable experience
  • Are your special effects safe for indoor events?
Yes, all of our special effects are safe for indoor use. We use professional-grade equipment and take necessary precautions. For example, our cold sparks are designed specifically for indoor use. Unlike traditional sparklers, they do not produce heat, making them safe for venues.
  • How much do special effects cost?
The cost of special effects depends on the specific effects you choose. Different effects, such as fog machines, CO2 blasters, cold sparks, and more, vary in price. We offer customizable packages tailored to your event's needs, ensuring you get the perfect combination of effects. Contact us for a detailed quote based on the effects you're interested in.
  • Can the effects be used during the entire event?
Some effects, like fog machines, can run throughout the event, while others, like cold sparks, are typically used for specific moments. For example, the "dancing on the clouds" effect is usually reserved for special dances, such as the bride and groom’s first dance, to create a magical and romantic atmosphere. We’ll work with you to plan when each effect will be used, ensuring they make the biggest impact during your event.
